ffmpeg

Overview

ffmpeg is useful for working with image files.

Version 3.2.2 is installed on the CSF.

Restrictions on use

This is open source software so all CSF users may use it.

Set up procedure

To access the software you must first load the modulefile:

module load apps/binapps/ffmpeg/3.2.2

Running the application

Please do not run ffmpeg on the login node. Jobs should be submitted to the compute nodes via batch.

If you wish to process a lot of image files then the most suitable means of batch job will be a job array.
