Each service offered by the Research Infrastructure Team has detailed documentation under it’s own tab on this website – please consult the relevant tab above in the first instance. If using the search box (on the left) please select the tab above first, then search that site.

Can’t find the answer to a question? Having an issue with one of our services?

HPC/Compute services

Please include as much detail as possible about your issue, for example:

  • the name of the system you need help with (e.g. CSF)
  • a brief description of the problem
  • all error or warning messages
  • relevant batch job ids and the location of all associated files (jobscript, input, output etc)
  • the modulefiles you have loaded when the problem occurs
  • command line history of what you have been doing

You can, of course, also contact us for general enquiries about the compute platforms.

Research Data Storage (RDS) service

For all queries / requests for Research Data Storage, please use the Research IT – Research Data Storage Service form, which allows you to:

  • Request new storage
  • Add or remove access to storage, including external access
  • Report an issue with your storage
  • Submit other / general requests for support with a Research Data Storage

Research Virtual Machine Service (RVMS)

For all queries / requests for Research Virtual Machines, please use the Research IT – Research Virtual Machine form, which allows you to:

  • Request new storage
  • Report an issue with an existing VM
  • Submit other / general requests for support with a VM and the RVM Service
