Mounting NFS Storage from the RDS/Isilon

Currently, the RDS provides only NFSv3 storage, not NFSv4. So, for security reasons, these VMs cannot mount RDS/Isilon storage over NFS.

Mounting CIFS Storage from the RDS/Isilon

CIFS (i.e., standard MS Windows-style) shares from the RDS may be mounted on these VMs.

N.B. CIFS shares from the RDS do not support symbolic links.
