NAG Libraries
Overview
The NAG Library is a collection of hundreds of complex and highly sophisticated user callable routines for mathematical and statistical computation. There are many versions of the library and which one you use depends upon your choice of language, operating system and compiler. The University of Manchester has a full site license for most of NAG’s products and more details can be found on the NAG section of the IT Services’ Applications Website.
We have NAG library mark 23, 24, 26 and 26.2 (latest) installed. The available set of libraries is somewhat inconsistent depending how NAG release the libraries. Please read carefully the version description in the list of modulefiles below.
Restrictions on use
The University of Manchester has a full site license for most of NAG’s products and more details, including restrictions, can be found on the NAG section of the IT Services’ Applications Website. It should be noted that the NAG software may not be used for:
- research, consultancy or services leading to commercial exploitation of the software
- any purpose which leads to it being commercially exploited by the employer of students on industrial placement or part-time courses.

Please select the documentation for a specific version from the menu on the left. We strongly recommend you upgrade to using the latest available version of the libraries.
