Mounting RDS/Isilon Storage

Data sensitivity

The RVMI platform is not designed to host, serve or even access sensitive and highly-restricted data. A Data Management Plan will be required to access RDS shares from the VM.

Mounting NFS Storage from the RDS/Isilon

The RDS provides NFSv3 and NFSv4 storage (maximal Linux compatibility, highest performances). Please get in touch to request for an existing export to be mounted on your VM.

Mounting CIFS Storage from the RDS/Isilon

CIFS (i.e. standard Windows-style) shares may be mounted on these VMs. CIFS shares from the RDS do not natively support symbolic links.
