XMGrace

Overview

XMGrace is a 2D graphical plotting tool. Version 5.1.25 is available on the CSF.

Restrictions on use

There are no restrictions on access to the software. Please see the grace website for copyright and license information.

Set up procedure

You will need to connect to the CSF using ssh -X to have the display exported to your local machine. See the logging in instruction for how to enable X11 for GUI usage when you log in.

To access the software please load the module:

module load grace/5.1.25-foss-2020a-5build1

We now recommend loading modulefiles within your jobscript so that you have a full record of how the job was run. Alternatively, you may load modulefiles on the login node and let the job inherit these settings.

Running the application

Please do not run this software on the login node. Either submit to batch or use srun.

Launch GUI via srun:

srun --x11 xmgrace
