Filesystems

Overview

Incline will shares home-directories with other compute systems such as the CSF. These are RDS/Isilon-based. In other words, users of more that one facility will see the same files when they log in to each.

RDS-SSH NFS (linux friendly) shares can be made available on iCSF.

The (small) scratch filesystem on iCSF is not the same as that on the (large) CSF scratch filesystem. They are local to each system.

File transfer

You may need to move files between iCSF and your desktop. Please see Copying files to and from compute systems for some examples of how to do this. Please be sure to use

incline.itservices.manchester.ac.uk

in place of:

csf3.itservices.manchester.ac.uk

when following the examples.
