A small number of licenses are available to the Faculty of Humanities. Please email <a href=\"ma&#105;&#108;&#116;&#111;&#x3a;&#x69;&#x74;&#x73;&#x2d;ri&#45;&#116;&#101;&#97;&#x6d;&#x40;&#x6d;&#x61;&#x6e;ch&#101;&#115;&#116;&#101;&#x72;&#x2e;&#x61;&#x63;&#x2e;uk\">&#x69;&#116;&#x73;&#x2d;r&#x69;&#45;t&#x65;&#97;m&#x40;&#109;&#x61;&#x6e;c&#x68;&#101;s&#x74;&#101;r&#x2e;&#97;&#x63;&#x2e;&#117;&#x6b;<\/a> if you wish to apply for access.<\/p>\n<h2>Set up procedure<\/h2>\n<p>To access the software you must first load the modulefile:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nmodule load apps\/binapps\/gauss\/12\r\n<\/pre>\n<h2>Running the application<\/h2>\n<p>Having loaded the appropriate modulefile simply run:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\ngauss\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>The above will start the Gauss GUI. To run the command-line version, use <code>tgauss<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>By default Gauss will auto-parallelize some internal function where it thinks there will be a benefit. It will attempt to grab all cores on a node by default. You can set <code>OMP_NUM_THREADS<\/code> in your environment to use a specific number of cores.
