It <em>can<\/em> be accessed from off-campus by running the University's GlobalProtect VPN software on your home PC\/laptop before using the above ssh command. However, we are aware of access problems with some Internet Service Providers. This is not a problem with Condor or GlobalProtect. Please see our <a href=\"http:\/\/ri.itservices.manchester.ac.uk\/wfh\">Working From Home<\/a> page for more information.\n\nWe also provide a <a href=\"http:\/\/ri.itservices.manchester.ac.uk\/virtual-desktop-service\/x2go\/\">Virtual Linux Desktop gateway<\/a> which might help if your home internet connection is unstable or you wish to work from different locations. You will still require GlobalProtect to use this service. Please request an account there if you don't have one (Condor users do NOT automatically have accounts here).--><\/p>\n<h2>Logging Out<\/h2>\n<p>Once you have finished using the system you should logout (mainly for security reasons). Note that you do not need to be logged in for your jobs to run once you have submitted them to the batch system. You can log out by using either of the following commands:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>logout<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>exit <\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Drop and Compute system<\/h2>\n<p>An alternative to using a <em>Secure Shell<\/em> (ssh) program is to use the <a href=\"\/htccondor\/jobs\/drop-compute\/\">Drop and Compute system<\/a>.
