Condor can be considered as free at the point of use and there will be no additional charges for its use.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to gain access to Condor then please complete <a href=\"https:\/\/ri.itservices.manchester.ac.uk\/hpc-help\">this Connect Portal Form<\/a>, provide the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The name of the system you wish to access &#8211; in this case Condor<\/li>\n<li>A brief description of why you want to use the Condor<\/li>\n<li>your University IT Username (not password)<\/li>\n<li>your library card number<\/li>\n<li>the name of your PI\/supervisor\/line manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>N.B. Do not try to login to Condor (via <em>submitter.itservices.manchester.ac.uk)<\/em> before receiving confirmation that your account has been set up otherwise your PC\u2019s IP address could be automatically added to a banned list.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Visitors\/Collaborators<\/h2>\n<p>Visitors to and collaborators associated with research groups may have access to Condor provided they have been registered by the Principal Investigator\/an Academic Sponsor with Human Resources at the University of Manchester.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty\/School administration teams can advise on how to do this. <strong>Please note:<\/strong> the Research Infrastructure team <strong>cannot<\/strong> register your visitor with H.R. The sponsoring academic must do this through their school.<\/p>\n<p>Please start this process as soon as possible to ensure that everything is in place in plenty of time. The HR system feeds into the IT user database and automatically generates a University IT Username. Visitors\/collaborators must complete <a href=\"https:\/\/iam.manchester.ac.uk\/initial_login\/overview\">IT Sign Up<\/a> before their username can registered within Condor.<\/p>\n<h2>Extensions to user accounts<\/h2>\n<p>Your University IT Username will automatically expire at the end of your course or contract. If you have a requirement to continue accessing Condor (and other IT systems) then your Principal Investigator\/supervisor must arrange with their local administration team to have your HR\/student record extended for an appropriate period of time. When that has been done, the IT user database will be automatically updated and you will be able to log in to Condor.<\/p>\n<h2>IT Policies and Regulations<\/h2>\n<p>All users must have completed <a href=\"https:\/\/iam.manchester.ac.uk\/initial_login\/overview\">IT Sign Up<\/a> to be granted an account on Condor and follow <a href=\"http:\/\/www.itservices.manchester.ac.uk\/policy\/\">IT policies and regulations<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Requesting an Account Access can be provided to any staff member, usually within a research groups (or schools).
