Smith&#8217;s research group. All requests for access should be made to: <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"&#109;&#x61;&#x69;l&#116;&#x6f;:&#105;&#x74;&#x73;-&#114;&#x69;-&#116;&#x65;&#x61;m&#64;&#x6d;a&#110;&#x63;&#x68;&#101;&#115;&#x74;e&#114;&#x2e;&#x61;&#99;&#x2e;&#x75;k\">i&#116;&#115;&#45;&#x72;&#x69;&#x2d;te&#97;&#109;&#x40;&#x6d;&#x61;&#x6e;ch&#101;&#115;&#x74;&#x65;&#x72;&#x2e;a&#99;&#46;&#117;&#x6b;<\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>Please copy Prof. Smith on your request (alternatively, we will contact him to verify the request).<\/p>\n<h2>Set up procedure<\/h2>\n<p>To access the software you must first load the modulefile:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nmodule load apps\/binapps\/feat-wmt\/3.19.0\r\n\r\nOR\r\n\r\nmodule load apps\/binapps\/feat-wmt\/3.18.0\r\n<\/pre>\n<h2>Running the application<\/h2>\n<p>Please do not run FEAT-WMT on the login node. Jobs should be submitted to the compute nodes via batch.<\/p>\n<h2>Parallel batch job submission<\/h2>\n<h3>Important input file information<\/h3>\n<p>You <em>must<\/em> ensure that you have specified the number of threads (cores) you wish to use in your input file and this number <em>must<\/em> match the number you put on the <code>-pe<\/code> line of your submission script. For example, you may have the following line in your input file:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nchange parm solve linsys threads integer 4\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>and the number on the end needs to match your core request.<\/p>\n<h3>Job submission<\/h3>\n<p>Make sure you have the modulefile loaded then create a batch submission script, for example:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\n#!\/bin\/bash\r\n#$ -cwd\r\n#$ -V\r\n#$ -pe smp.pe 4  ## Maximum 24 cores\r\n\r\nfeatmacro=wmt feat noviewer < input > output\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>Where <code>input<\/code> is the name of your input file and <code>output<\/code> is the name of the file you want to put the results in.<\/p>\n<p>Submit the jobscript using: <\/p>\n<pre>qsub <em>scriptname<\/em><\/pre>\n<p>where <em>scriptname<\/em> is the name of your jobscript.<\/p>\n<h3>Example batch job<\/h3>\n<p>An example of a batch job and input file can be found in <\/p>\n<pre>$FEATWMT_HOME\/example-batch-job<\/pre>\n<h2>Interactive Usage<\/h2>\n<p>If you need to run the GUI please do so via qrsh:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nqrsh -l inter -l short -V -cwd feat\r\n<\/pre>\n<h2>Further info<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.featplus.co.uk\/index.html\">FEAT website<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Details of the WMT test set and a short summary of each can be found in: <code>$FEATWMT_HOME\/elguides\/wmt.pdf<\/code>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Updates<\/h2>\n<p>None.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview FEAT-WMT is a Finite Element Weld Modelling Tool.
