This has been compiled specifically for the AMD Bulldozer nodes and will not run on other nodes.<\/p>\n<h2>Restrictions on use<\/h2>\n<p>There are no restrictions on accessing this software on the CSF.<\/p>\n<p>Please see the <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.mmm.ucar.edu\/wrf\/users\/notice.html\">WRF Public Domain Notice<\/a> for further information.<\/p>\n<h2>Set up procedure<\/h2>\n<p>To access the software you must first load the modulefile:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nmodule load apps\/pgi-13.6-acml-fma4\/arwpost\/3.1\r\n<\/pre>\n<h2>Running the application<\/h2>\n<p>Please do not run ARWpost on the login node. Jobs should be submitted to the compute nodes via batch or can be run interactively via <code>qrsh<\/code>.<\/p>\n<h3>Serial batch job submission<\/h3>\n<p>Make sure you have the modulefile loaded then create a batch submission script, for example:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\n#!\/bin\/bash\r\n#$ -S \/bin\/bash\r\n#$ -cwd             # Job will run from the current directory\r\n#$ -V               # Job will inherit current environment settings\r\n#$ -l bulldozer     # Job will run on an AMD Bulldozer node\r\n#$ -l short         # Optional: assumes max 12 hour runtime\r\n                    # There is a dedicated node for 'short jobs'\r\n\r\n# The executable will read a file called 'namelist.ARWpost' in the current directory\r\nARWpost.exe \r\n<\/pre>\n<p>Submit the jobscript using: <\/p>\n<pre>qsub <em>scriptname<\/em><\/pre>\n<p>where <em>scriptname<\/em> is the name of your jobscript.<\/p>\n<h3>Interactive Use via qrsh<\/h3>\n<p>If you wish to run the command interactively on an AMD Bulldozer node you should first schedule an interactive session as follows:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nqrsh -l short -l bulldozer\r\n  #\r\n  # Wait for a new prompt on a backend node (e.g., node201)\r\n\r\n# We are now on the backend node...\r\nmodule load apps\/pgi-13.6-acml-fma4\/arwpost\/3.1\r\n\r\n# Edit your namelist.ARWpost if required\r\ngedit namelist.ARWpost\r\n\r\n# Now run the ARWpost executable\r\nARWpost.exe\r\n\r\n# When finished with the interactive session, log out of the node to free it up\r\nexit\r\n<\/pre>\n<h2>Further info<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.mmm.ucar.edu\/wrf\/users\/graphics\/ARWpost\/ARWpost.htm\">ARWpost website<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Updates<\/h2>\n<p>None.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview ARWpost is a post-processing tool to generate GrADS input files from WRF ARW output files.
