This is a binary install (i.e. no compilation involved).<\/p>\n<h2>Restrictions on use<\/h2>\n<p>There are no restrictions on access to MOLDEN but users should read and observe the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmbi.ru.nl\/molden\/CopyRight.html\">Copyright notice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Set up procedure<\/h2>\n<p>You will need to connect to the CSF using <code>ssh -X<\/code> to have the display exported to your local machine. You should then load <strong>one<\/strong> of the MOLDEN modulefiles:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nmodule load apps\/binapps\/molden\/5.1\r\nmodule load apps\/binapps\/molden\/5.0\r\n<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"\/csf2\/getting-started-on-the-csf\/using-an-app-with-a-gui-x11-and-qrsh\/\">Further information about how to start X-Windows and GUI applications on the CSF<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Running the application<\/h2>\n<p>The software is launched using the command <code>molden<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to run the software for more than a few minutes using significant CPU or memory resources you may be requested to run it via a compute node using <a href=\"\/csf2\/csf-user-documentation\/sge-interactive-jobs-qrsh\/\">qrsh<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Further info<\/h2>\n<p>Detailed information about using the software can be found on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmbi.ru.nl\/molden\/molden.html\">MOLDEN website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Updates<\/h2>\n<p>There have been no updates since the software was first installed in March 2011.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview MOLDEN is a pre- and post processing program of molecular and electronic structure, developed by G.Schaftenaar at CMBI, in the Netherlands.
